In clients' own words.
Quoted exactly as clients wrote them, from Thumbtack, Google and the firm's old website.
“This tax advisor is an excellent source and guidance on tax matters. For 2018 I was able to optimize my tax liability and keep a lot of my hard earned money. Example: Just a matter of requesting the IRS to grant me consideration for a first time offense for a late filing for a partnership return saved me thousands of dollars, in addition to more savings on my personal return!! That was a tremendous professional advise by Mrs. Blaga [Veleva]. I highly recommend her services.”
Yvonne A. · Thumbtack, 2025Blaga was extremely professional and always responded to my texts/emails very quickly. She was very fast with preparing my taxes — less than 1 week! Questions people ask first
Q1Is Blaga a CPA or a tax attorney?
Neither. Blaga Veleva is an Enrolled Agent (EA). The IRS calls the EA "the highest credential the IRS awards". Like attorneys and CPAs, Enrolled Agents "have unlimited practice rights", so they can represent taxpayers on audits, collections and appeals. See the IRS page on Enrolled Agents.
Q2Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. The free consultation is how every client starts. Call (281) 785-0460 or use the form on this page, and bring or send the letter if you have one.
Q3How much does it cost?
It depends on the work, and the price is agreed with you in the first meeting, before anything starts. Tax preparation is priced by the forms being prepared. Bookkeeping depends on the type of entity, the number of transactions, how complex the accounting is and what you can pay. Using several services gets a bundle price, and in Blaga's words, "our fees are negotiable." How it works.
Q4I got a letter from the IRS. What should I do first?
Find the notice number in the top right corner and the response date printed on the letter. Do not ignore it, and do not wait until the last day. Type the number into the decoder at the top of this page for a plain-English summary, then call so Blaga can read the whole letter with you.
Q5I haven't kept up my bookkeeping. Is it too late?
No. Catch-up bookkeeping is part of the work: if you own a small business and haven't kept up your books, the missing months can be brought up to date so your returns can be filed on real numbers.
Q6Do I have to come to the office?
No. You can meet in person at 5629 FM 1960 West, Suite 221, Houston, or work by phone and the secure client portal.
Q7Do you work with foreign companies and foreign nationals?
Yes. Tax & Business Solutions helps with cross-border planning, U.S. compliance, tax residency questions, treaty benefits, U.S. entity registration and opening a U.S. bank account.
